Croatia's rocky coast line and clear, turquoise water draws people from all over the world. The Istrian Peninsula in Northern Croatia is no exception and one of the jewels of this region is Rovinj. There are many islands close to this beautiful Istrian coastal town and there's no shortage of boat trips to get you to them.
One such trip is to Saint Andrews Island (also known as Red Island). A short 15 minute trip from Rovinj drops you at the Hotel Istra wharf. You then have the choice of finding a secluded cove to swim and sunbathe on either the main island or it's smaller neighbour - Maskin Island. They are connected by a man made causeway which makes getting around very simple.
We took the short trip to Staint Andrews and explored it and it's smaller cousin to see what they had to offer.
Come along with us and see what they're all about.
Do they look like somewhere you'd want to visit (and perhaps stay)?
