In this episode of my life documentary, I walked a long way to the owner of the ventilator, along with my eleven-year-old autistic nephew Sepehr, and my youngest son Ali Asghar. We went to rent the ventilator, which is my brother’s only hope of breathing.
But reaching our destination was just the beginning…
With shame, begging, pleading, and enduring humiliation for being late in paying the rent, we finally got the ventilator and returned to the warehouse where we live; a warehouse that doesn’t even have a proper roof.
However, my elderly mother is happy to hear the news of renting the ventilator, because she knows that just one hour of her son’s easier breathing is greater than a thousand hopes for us.
