This 2022 Ford Transit came in with what seemed like a simple hard brake pedal issue, but what we found was a complete disaster waiting to happen! At just 67,000 miles, the wet belt had completely disintegrated, clogging up the oil pickup strainer and even destroying the vacuum pump! If this hadn't been caught in time, the engine would have been a complete write-off!

Our technician Owen tore it down and discovered bits of timing belt inside the vacuum pump, along with shocking levels of sludge buildup. This is by far the worst wet belt failure we’ve seen yet! Luckily, we managed to save it just in time—but this could have easily turned into an engine replacement.
