I remove the factory cam gears and install aftermarket adjustable cam gears. Start by supporting the engine and removing the drivers side engine mount. Then remove the accessory belts and pulleys. Once you have that done you can remove the crank pulley and the timing covers. Rotate the engine to top dead center #1 and make sure the oil pump and crank markers line up. You may have to rotate the engine 2-3 times for everything to line up. Then you can pull the hydraulic tensioner and remove the timing belt. Then hold the cams and remove the bolts holding the cam gears on. Bolt the new cam gears on and pin the hydraulic tensioner. Install the tensioner and the belt using zip ties to hold the belt in place while you line everything up. Once all is lined up you can turn the engine over by hand. If it is still lining up remove the pin from the tensioner and rotate a few times again until all marks line up. Then re-install the covers and accessory drives, engine mount and you are good to go!!! If you read all this please watch the whole video too!!
