Detectives Alc Katley and Rick Rook confront David Sith, a forensic dentist, searching for evidence in her teeth to connect her to suspect Chris Cruce. In Alabama, the burned body of Peggy Llin leaves behind only a few cigarettes. Scientist Angelo de la Mana uses a revolutionary technique to extract DNA from bone marrow and cigarettes, incriminating Jimmy Paris. In addition, Barry Sheck and Luis Hchberg's Innocence Project seeks to free innocent people, such as Troy Web, using genetic profiles that prove errors in witness identifications.
