Well we decided to have a trip in my boat, so dad met me down the car park at 7. There was a few good swells rolling up the beach, so I had to drive to Great Yarmouth, and launch on the lee shore. We didnt want a huge amount of fish, as prices are generally poor on a Thursday market auction. We really just wanted some to salt down and preserve for bait, for crab and lobster potting in the summer. Well there were plenty of fish there, we had a look at the gill, and there was several fish straight away. We then hauled, cleaned the fish at the lifeboat carpark, then salted them down in barrels. There were also a few whiting and sardines. I kept two half boxes of better sized herring, and took them to Lowestoft fish market. Iced them up, and put them in the chill.
