A full route visual of Uno's new bus route 243 that runs between Barnet Hospital and Hatfield Business Park via Potters Bar, Brookmans Park, Welham Green and Hatfield Town Centre & University and finishes at Hatfield Bus Garage (High Barnet itself is only served by buses running to Barnet Hospital). The 243 was introduced on 1st September 2025 which replaced the 84B (ran by Central Connect) between Barnet and Potters Bar and the 610 between Potters Bar and Hatfield (610 still runs but only between Luton and Hatfield Station with the Cockfosters to Potters Bar section being served by the 298).
The route (along with 242) uses ADL Enviro 400 MMCs and E400 Cities from the now withdrawn 601 and 614/644 respectively although a brand new BYD B12 has made appearances on the 243 recently (including the day this visual was filmed) and interestingly, a TFL omnicity did the route which you would see just before the Brookmans Park area in the video itself (also included was YY64GXG doing a 602 towards St Albans in Hatfield).
The visual was filmed onboard one of 601s former Enviro 400 MMCs which was 258 and it still features the 601 branding with the date of the visual being the 2nd day of the 243s operation (2nd September 2025).
