Anchang Ancient Town is located at the northwest end of Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, China, adjacent to Hangzhou City. Anchang Ancient Town is one of the famous historical and cultural towns in China. It was first built in the Northern Song Dynasty. It was burned down many times due to wars and rebuilt in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Its architectural style inherits the simple and elegant characteristics of the typical Jiangnan water towns. Its specialties such as Anchang sausages and white sugar are famous far and wide. The floating market with a water town style is also unique and its ancient charm remains. It is the hometown of the famous Shaoxing master and retains a strong flavor of local people's life. The ancient town has historical relics such as the Hangzhou-Ningbo Canal, ancient bridges, and ancient roads. It is known as "the clear water runs through the streets and the seventeen bridges across the river are rainbows."
