However, unnoticed and unlisted by the Survivor Wiki page... this puzzle actually originated in Micronesia, in the first clip seen here! It is much simpler, with much more emphasis on the pattern on top (the map) for solving - but it is the same type of puzzle. It's not hard to see how they took the original Micronesia puzzle idea and reworked it into the One World puzzle idea.
