Torque or Horsepower? If you want a vehicle to pull well, torque is important. The higher the torque, the greater the vehicle's load-carrying capacity. Heavy loads require high traction. The vehicle's rpm indicates torque. The speedometer indicates horsepower. High speeds at low rpm indicate strong torque, while acceleration indicates strong horsepower. For powerful performance, torque and horsepower must complement each other. Optimizing these two concepts perfectly will achieve optimal performance. If you want instant acceleration and enjoy a car that pins you to the seat, high-torque vehicles will satisfy you. No, I'm not interested in instantaneous acceleration, if you want your car to take you on long journeys, then high horsepower vehicles will be more suitable for you.
