This New Battery Will Change Boating Forever!

New Battery Technology! This new solid state battery is a game changer and is specifically designed for the marine industry to be a better boat battery. These solid state batteries from Solid State Marine are lighter and pack more Amp Hours into a smaller package than Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries or LiFePo4 batteries. But does it deliver? In this video I compare the weight of the battery and run time of this 48 volt 60 Ah battery to a 48 volt 32 Ah LiFePo4 battery and verify that it works to operate my ePropulsion Spirit 1.0 Plus electric outboard motor on my small boat. This new battery technology may be be revolutionary for the marine battery industry and other applications where solid state batteries can be used or would be beneficial over other existing battery technologies on the market.

The solid state battery I am using in this video is a 48 Volt 60 Ah (60 Amp Hour) Solid State Marine Battery that I compare to a Power House brand 32 Ah LiFePo4 battery. I test the batteries in real world situations with the limited testing resources I have available based on the parameters that are important to my boating needs. They are: Does it run my electric motor, battery weight, and does it provide the advertised amp hours?
