The Musahar community whispered in cracked voices, sang through tired throats, and was carried by eyes that still hope. Mothers cooking through smoke, children learning to smile through hunger, men breaking their backs just to live another day — every frame speaks of pain, patience, and pride. This film is not made to shock you, but to remind you that behind every number and policy, there are faces, names, and dreams too human to ignore.

ये बिहार की एक कहानी है। सच पूछिए तो सफ़र है, उन लोगों का सफ़र, जो आज भी 21वीं सदी में पहुंचने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं। मगर कहीं 19वीं- 20वीं सदी में छूट गए हैं। ये कहानी है हिम्मत, भूख और उम्मीद की। ये कहानी है भोजपुर ज़िले के मुसहर समाज की। जहां धूल, अंधेरा, लाचारी और रूढ़िवादी परंपराओं का जाल है।
यू ट्यूब की पॉलिसी के कारण हमने ये डॉक्यूमेंट्री फिर से रिलीज की है। इस वीडियो का मोनेटाइजेशन ऑफ़ कर दिया है। हमारा उद्देश्य इस वीडियो से पैसे कमाना नहीं, बल्कि वंचित और शोषित समुदाय की बात रखना है।

गौलतलब है कि, दुनिया मुसहर समुदाय को महज़ इतना जान पाई है, कि वो लोग चूहा खाते हैं। मगर क्यों खाते हैं इस पड़ताल की कोशिश कम हुई है। न्यूज़ पिंच के लिए जब अभिनव पांडे और उनकी टीम मुसहरों की बस्ती पहुंची तो उन्हें मुसहर समुदाय को परत दर परत समझा। जिसे समझाने की कोशिश इस डॉक्यूमेंट्री के सहारे की गई है।
आख़िर मुसहर समुदाय की लड़कियां युवावस्था में ही विधवा क्यों हो जाती हैं! स्कूल जाने की उम्र में लड़कियां बच्चे क्यों पैदा कर रही हैं। वो दुनिया जहां के लोग तारीख़ तक नहीं जानते। जहां अंधविश्वास और बदबू है। जिस समाज के लिए सरकार, विकास और सफ़ाई जैसे शब्द बने ही नहीं। जिन मुसहरों के हाथ का लोग पानी नहीं पीते, उनके यहां शराब ज़रूर पी लेते हैं।
बावजूद मुसहर समाज में आशा की एक किरण है। बच्चों के चेहरे पर मुस्कान है। और कुछ फरिश्तें हैं जो इस समाज को गर्त से निकालने का काम कर रहे हैं। पूरी कहानी, इस डॉक्यूमेंट्री के ज़रिए, आपके हवाले है। इस कोशिश में हम कितने सफ़ल हैं, हमें कमेंट में ज़रूर बताएं। वीडियो को जितना हो सके शेयर करके। हमें हिम्मत और मुसहर जाति को आवाज़ दें।
