In this video, you will learn how to play the D throw scale for the highland bagpipes! This movement is one of the most common you will see in bagpipe music and will be employed by many of the first tunes you will learn. It can be a difficult one to master so take your time with it. Also, demonstrated here is the light D throw, you will find versions playing the heavy; I recommend the light throw for all beginning students as the heavy throw is more complex and difficult to execute.
