Join me for my first solo bikepacking trip. I rode the Ammonoosuc Rail Trail from Woodsville to Littleton, NH and stayed at a KOA campground overnight. The trip started off with some exploring in Woodsville including the Bath-Haverhill Covered Bridge built in 1829. This bridge is located at the mouth of the Ammonoosuc River where it joins the Connecticut River. From here we followed the old Boston & Maine Railroad bed from Woodsville (a section of Haverhill) to Littleton 19.2 miles. The trail crosses NH Route 302 and the Ammonoosuc River several times. Scenic Highlights include two long bridges over the Ammonoosuc River and the Bath Covered Bridge (blt 1832) and great views of the mountains of New Hampshire. The total distance was 29 miles to the campground and another 14 back to my vehicle the next day. I had a great campsite right on the Ammonoosuc River.
