Remember Half Ounce from Inglewood (1989-2022)

Inglewood rapper, Half Ounce, born Latauriisha Tiombe Obrien was shot and killed on October 4, 2022 in front of 711 South New Hampshire Avenue between 7th and 8th Streets.

This area is known as Koreatown, and home of the Leeward Grandes (LGS) of the Mara Salvatrucha gang. But just north of 7th Street is one of the many 18th Street territories of Los Angeles. Although there are over a dozen gangs with a 2 mile radius of this location, the gangs in the Olympic Division of the LAPD has much lower violent crime than other sections of Los Angeles.

Half Ounce, was born on October 24, 1989, and he was just two weeks shy of his 33rd birthday.
