⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ First Retired Orange & Yellow Seat R46s being Towed off of MTA Property for Disposal

The MTA is has started disposing of the R46-type subway cars, iconic 70s-era equipment famous for its Orange and Yellow interior seating. Here, we see the first sets of R46s to be scrapped as they are moved off of MTA property. The cars are being towed over the South Brooklyn Railway to be interchanged with NYNJ rail, who will move them to 65th St Railyard and load them up on flatcars for a final trip out to be scrapped.
