Migrant hotels operating in Crewe have made locals feel “threatened”, GB News can reveal.
In a new exclusive documentary, this broadcaster went to Crewe to speak to residents about the migrant hotels operating in their area, with many raising serious concerns.
One local taxi driver and Reform Party member, Nick Goulding, told GB News: “It's the large numbers of young men in their early 20s, without dependents, without family, that really creates a lot of the anxiety that people have with it.”
Mr Goulding emphasised that it is “particularly women who feel threatened by these groups of young men hanging around.”
“Now, they may mean no harm whatsoever, but they still give out that threatening air to the extent that many women won't use Crewe Town Center anymore,” he continued.
Two hotels currently operate in Crewe for illegal migrants, as well as several other hotels in nearby villages and towns.
Before their election in July last year, Labour promised the use of migrant hotels would end within twelve months of Keir Starmer becoming prime minister.
However, statistics released by the Home Office in February revealed that the number of migrants being put up in hotels by the taxpayer has soared under Labour’s watch. The numbers show that in June 2024, 29,585 migrants occupied hotels, which increased to more than 38,000 in December.
