ANTONIO MARRAS Spring Summer 2026 Milan - Full Show

Antonio Marras closed his Spring 2026 show with a theatrical finale: male models in expressive menswear climbed book-scattered salt mounds at the runway’s center, while others circled in nearly 100 looks built around the designer’s elaborate fantasy.

That narrative blended Marras’s Sardinian roots with imagined visits from writers like Katherine Mansfield, D.H. Lawrence, and Virginia Woolf. This framework gave him license to move fluidly across genres — from robes, pajama suits, tulle gowns, swing dresses, and tailoring to denim, knits, and military surplus.

Colors shifted from lilac and cream to bronze, plum, and copper, layered with checks, stripes, lace, jacquards, and embroidery. Traditional Sardinian costume pieces were shown intact, presented as heritage too precious to alter, placed alongside Marras’s contemporary work. His models sometimes carried boards painted with his drawings, reinforcing the show’s personal, storytelling quality.

Fictional characters shared the runway with a real-world figure: shepherd Giuseppe Ignazio Loi, honored for his defiance in Riccardo Milani’s film La Vita Va Così. The result was a collection steeped in history, imagination, and emotion — quintessential Marras.
