I absolutely love painting fruit—there’s something so vibrant and fresh about it. Plus, it’s one of those subjects where you don’t need to stress too much about getting every little detail perfect. You’ll hear me say it a few times in the video: don’t worry about perfection! Leave some white space, keep it loose, and just watch the magic happen. For the citrus, I added lots of layers to really bring out that dimensional feel.
And you’ll see that I tend to work with odd numbers in my compositions—any quirky painting rules you follow? Drop a comment and let me know!

Supplies
I always would encourage you to use the supplies you already have, but if you're looking for anything, here's what I used and links to where you can find them (some links are affiliate links where I make a small commission, all options are my own)
Watercolor paint- I'm using a variety from several brands, including my own handmade colors, that I put together in my dream palette. I'm mostly using reds, oranges, yellows, greens, an indigo, and pink, but use what calls to you from your watercolors.
