Nearly 2.89 Crore Names To Be Deleted From UP Voter List After SIR

ଉତ୍ତରପ୍ରଦେଶରୁ କଟିଲେ ୨ କୋଟି ୮୯ ଲକ୍ଷ ଭୋଟର। ସ୍ବତନ୍ତ୍ର ଭୋଟର ତାଲିକା ସଂଶୋଧନ ବା ଏସଆଇଆର ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟାରେ ଏହି ତଥ୍ୟ ସାମ୍ନାକୁ ଆସିଛି।

Around 2.89 crore voters have been removed from Uttar Pradesh’s electoral roll during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Only about 2 lakh new names were added within 14 days. The Election Commission has clarified that there will be no further extension of the revision process, and the final draft voter list will be published on December 31. Lucknow and Ghaziabad recorded the highest number of deletions. Officials stated that the removals include migrated voters, deceased voters, duplicate entries, and absentee voters.
