The Car That Started It All

This is the story of my 2007 Renault Megane R26 in French Racing Blue – the car that very nearly ruined me, but also lit the spark that has fuelled everything I do today.

Before car rebuilds took over YouTube, before the big names started buying wrecked supercars and bringing them back to life, I was in a scrapyard trying to piece together my dream hot hatch. This Megane was my obsession – I poured my time, money, and sanity into it, and at one point it felt like it was going to break me completely.

But this car also ignited my passion for modifying, fixing, and telling stories through cars. It took me from scrapyard hunts to late-night rebuilds, from moments of despair to the pride of driving something I’d brought back myself. In many ways, this battered Megane is the reason I own my Porsche Cayman today and why I started this channel in the first place.
