NSR is typical of all BC SAR teams; being imbedded in a family of community partnerships that connect SAR with local municipalities, other SAR teams, and various government agencies such as police, fire, ambulance, and Coast Guard. These partnerships are vital to the funding and other support systems needed for the effective operation of this community service and to the rapid deployment in times of need.
