It's time for another battle of the boy bands and man has it been quite a week in boybandland. Both good AND bad. We have The Wanted announcing a break and One Direction's Liam Payne going on an angry Twitter rant.

Before we dig into this week's competitors, it's time to announce last week's champion. I asked which band has the best cover songs — Emblem 3 or 1D — and the cover kinds are.... The boys of One Direction!

Let's kick things off with One Direction who had a week filled with crazy headlines. It all started this past weekend when Liam tweeted at a member of the Duck Dynasty cast saying "huge love to you/your family huge respect for your business prosperities and the family values you still all behold. Big fan." This little tweet caused a HUGE uproar since another member of the Duck Dynasty cast notoriously made some intensely homophobic remarks in an interview. And after said backlash, Liam went on a rant about the media and making a big deal out of what he claims to be an innocent tweet.

Moving On to a much less dramatic, and much more adorable 1D story, the fellas made an appearance on Sesame Street and it's kind of the cutest thing I've ever seen.

And now let's move on to the boys of The Wanted who had a very big and very TRAGIC headline this week. They are SPLITTING UP! Okay okay maybe not forever, but for now, it's on a serious pause.

Luckily, they are still finishing up their tour which wraps in May.
