Cinnamon Hill Golf Course - Montego Bay Jamaica - The Boss Golfs

Cinnamon Hill Golf Course is a standout resort-style course in Montego Bay, Jamaica, offering a mix of oceanfront and inland holes that make for a dynamic round of golf. Located on the Rose Hall property alongside White Witch Golf Course, it’s easily accessible from nearby resorts like where I stayed the Hyatt Zilara and Ziva, making it a great option for visiting golfers.
The course is designed with resort play in mind, featuring an open, wind-swept front nine that provides plenty of scoring opportunities. Two seaside holes bring the ocean into play, creating a stunning visual and strategic challenge. Moving to the back nine, the layout tightens as it winds through dense tropical vegetation with noticeable elevation changes. The contrast between the two nines gives the course a unique flow, keeping the round interesting from start to finish.

Beyond the golf itself, Cinnamon Hill is rich with character. Scattered throughout the course are historical remnants, including stone walls, gravestones, and an ancient aqueduct that once supplied water to the Rose Hall estate. Hole fifteen has a beautiful waterfall behind the green that was famously featured in James Bond’s Live and Let Die. These features add to the experience, making the round more memorable.

Compared to White Witch, Cinnamon Hill gets a slight edge. While both courses have their own appeal, Cinnamon Hill’s course conditions were slightly better, and the seaside holes added an extra level of enjoyment. White Witch offers a more dramatic and challenging layout, but inconsistent greens impacted the overall experience.

The value of playing Cinnamon Hill is excellent for a vacation round, and the required caddies enhance the experience. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and bring an added level of insight to the course. My caddie was particularly impressive with her green reading skills—if only I could have capitalized on her reads better!

For anyone visiting Montego Bay, Cinnamon Hill is a solid choice that balances scenery, playability, and course conditions, making for an enjoyable round of resort golf.
