US Economy: How tariffs are affecting Trump voters

We’re in Washington, where the markets are in flux, bonds are in peril, the dollar is at a three-year-low and China has described Donald Trump's unprecedented tariff war as "a joke".

According to Mr Trump, it's all "doing really well!" But one survey of US consumers says their mood has spiralled "from anxious to petrified". Eggs cost more than $6 a dozen. Under China's new retaliatory tariffs - an iPhone could soar to well over $2,000.
