世界三大夜景為日本「夜景觀光Convention Bureau」主辦的專門研究夜景對旅遊業影響的夜景峰會，在日本舉行，主辦單位根據問卷及實地調查後決定結果。第一次結果為香港、北海道函館和義大利那不勒斯3處夜景的合稱。2012年10月5日，香港、長崎及摩納哥，獲得評委選為世界新三大夜景。

The world's top three night views refer to three representative night views from around the world. In Japan, when introducing the night views of various places, various night views (including names unknown) by various organizations in Japan, which are said to be one of the three major night views of Japan, such as the night view of one million dollars [1] , the night view of ten million dollars [2], etc. One of them is the night view of Hong Kong , Hakodate , and Naples , which is said to be one of the world's top three night views [3] . However, the person or group that chose these three places, the reason, the timing, etc. are unknown [4] .

Outside of Japan, it is only used as Japanese Chinese in the Greater China region , and is not a word that is used worldwide.

世界三大夜景（せかいさんだいやけい）とは、世界中の代表的な夜景を3か所選んだものを指す。日本では、各地の夜景の紹介において、100万ドルの夜景[1]、1,000万ドルの夜景[2]、日本三大夜景と言われる日本国内の各種団体による（命名者不明も含め）色々な表現を見ることができるが、その一つとして、香港・函館・ナポリの夜景を世界三大夜景と称するものがある[3]。ただし、この3か所を選択した人物や団体、根拠、時期などは不明である[4]。

日本以外においては、中華圏でのみ和製漢語として使われることがあるだけであり、世界的に使われる言葉ではない。
