I recently found out that a certain website called Project Rome was supporting BFBC2 servers to reconnect the services following EA's Shutdown of them a month ago. I'll post a link to a video for those that wish to play it and give it a try in the comments. Never got to experience this game in its prime, but was still fun all around for myself.
