রেজিস্টর (Resistor) হলো এক ধরনের বৈদ্যুতিক যন্ত্রাংশ যা বৈদ্যুতিক সার্কিটে বিদ্যুৎ প্রবাহকে বাধা দেয়। এটি ইলেকট্রনিক সার্কিটে ভোল্টেজ কমাতে, কারেন্ট নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে এবং বৈদ্যুতিক শক্তিকে তাপ শক্তিতে রূপান্তর করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

***​ফিক্সড রেজিস্টর (Fixed Resistor): এই৷
রেজিস্টরের মান নির্দিষ্ট থাকে এবং এটি পরিবর্তন
করা যায় না। ফিক্সড রেজিস্টর বিভিন্ন উপাদানের
তৈরি হতে পারে, যেমন কার্বন ফিল্ম, মেটাল ফিল্ম
বা মেটাল অক্সাইড ফিল্ম।

***​ভেরিয়েবল রেজিস্টর (Variable Resistor): এই
রেজিস্টরের মান পরিবর্তন করা যায়। এগুলোকে
সাধারণত ভোল্টেজ বা কারেন্ট নিয়ন্ত্রণের জন্য
ব্যবহার করা হয়। ভেরিয়েবল রেজিস্টরের
উদাহরণ হলো পটেনশিওমিটার
(Potentiometer) এবং রিওস্ট্যাট (Rheostat)।

metal oxide film.

***​Variable Resistors: The resistance value of
a variable resistor can be changed. They
are typically used to control voltage or
current. Examples of variable resistors
include potentiometers and rheostats.
