Have you ever spent an entire summer going to the movies? In the summer of 1979 I spent every spare moment I had at the cinema. And 1979 was a great year for movies. Hanging out with friends, creating great memories and seeing first run blockbusters like, "Moonraker" with Roger Moore as James Bond, "The Muppet Movie" was a huge deal for all of us fans of the tv show, to seeing more independent films, like "The Brood" by director David Cronenberg. Movie tickets were still cheap and matinees even cheaper. So, join me on a trip down memory lane and the movies I saw in the summer of 1979.
