Today's video is a bit of break, in that it isn't related to a ship at all. Not in the strictest sense. Even the previous plane wreck videos were tied to aircraft carriers.
Then again, USS Macon was an aircraft carrier. Simply not a traditional one. One of two flying aircraft carriers, massive airships, built for the United States Navy. And very technically a commissioned (air)ship. Macon would crash off the coast of California in 1935, putting an end to this dream.
Of course, being an airship, there's very little of Macon left. Hence the length of this video. But, on the other hand, there are four of her aircraft on the bottom. The F9C Sparrowhawks, which were at one point very intact.
Less so, now.
