Shri. Bhutnath De, ( A vocal exponent and music scholar)
Sri Bhutnath De, born in 1943, was initiated in vocal music from his father
later on he was trained in vocal classical music under the able guidance of
his Gurus Shri Brojen Roy Choudhury, Tarit Mukherjee, Prof. Sachindas
Motilal, Pt. T.L. Rana and Pt Jagdish Prasad for several years. He has
also learnt Dhrupad from Pt.Paresh Bondopadhyay of Bishnupur Gharana.
Since 1976. He is running “ Geetigunja” a musical Institution affiliated to Prayag Sangit
Samiti, Allahabad and Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, in Jamshedpur,
Jharkhand and have associated with them as a head examiner since 1976. He has wrote several articles of Music and composed music for the Bhajans and wrote Bandish on Raaga based.
Performances – Concerts & Workshops in UK, Bangkok, He served with South Eastern Railways in the Operating Department for forty years and retired as a Gazette officer from Tatanagar Rly. Station as a Station Manager.
Accreditation- As a senior most Music Examiner for various Musical institutions and education boards. Performed in various cultural festivals of classical music - Kheyal, Thumri, Bengali Songs and Bhajan in India and abroad.
Objective to develop Indian Classical Music amongst the underprivileged people of the society who cannot afford in spite of their willingness to learn this music. Recently he has done several vocal workshops in Indian Cultural Centre, Chulalongkorn University Bangkok, Swaranjali Delhi, EZCC and many more. His articles on music have been published from different journals from
time to time in India.

Swaranjali Delhi, a non-profit institution registered by Govt. of Delhi started in 2000 with a mission to bring the fundamentals of Indian Classical Dance and Music to those who would benefit most from classical training – the youth. Based in Delhi NCR India it caters to the needs of students including some from deprived backgrounds by providing a strong basic foundation and platform to grow. We offer a holistic approach to the teaching of Indian classical Music and Dance to young people, with a unique process that includes guidance on public performance.
