Tsedug Monastery is located on the famous sacred mountain of Dingqing County, Qamdo Region, eastern Tibet. It is about 4800 meters above sea level. It is one of the highest monasteries in Tibet and one of the oldest and most important temples of the Yongdrung Bhoen religion.
The Tsedug Monastery, built in three thousand years ago, was initiated by the second generation of Tibetan King Mutryi Tsenpo.
