I tend to work on my RC cars more than I drive them. Let's definitely drive one today. Here we have the carbon fiber Mini-Z Buggy that has been the subject of several recent videos. Most notably, I upgraded the power system with the faster 5500kv motor, while dropping the gear ratio a little bit. Now it should be more than fast enough. In fact I must concentrate much more when driving it. Traction on this surface is good even at the faster speed. The suspension system gets the job done.

I've been reluctant to subject the buggy to the elements because they are not sealed against dust and debris. But let's try it anyway! The most vulnerable part is probably the pinion and spur gears but I have replacement parts if needed. At the very least, the covered bottom plate of the v2 chassis makes this possible. I wouldn't do this with v1. The slow motion sliding and powering out out of the corner are so cool to watch. Even at the small 1:24 scale, the buggy is very capable at navigating on this loose surface. With these dried magnolia flowers, nothing got into the drivetrain to cause any issue. This is a successful run! Here it's gotten tangled with some branches. With some back and forth it's able to wiggle free.
This is Sammy and thanks for watching!
