Genesis 47–50
• Joseph presents his family to Pharaoh; they settle in Goshen, the best of the land
• Jacob lives 17 years in Egypt and requests burial in Canaan
• The famine intensifies; Egyptians sell everything to Pharaoh
• Joseph establishes a law: Pharaoh receives one‑fifth of all harvests
• Jacob blesses Ephraim and Manasseh, declaring Ephraim the greater
