Released for PS1 and PS2 in 2000!
The first true 'next-gen' NASCAR video game was a weird one on the PS2. Lacking in features compared to the past PS1 titles and a notable step down in sound design. However, given what EA Sports would deliver in the years following it's safe to say these shortcoming can be attributed to growing pains with the new hardware. Something that releasing less than 2 weeks after the PS2's own launch didn't help with.
This game notably features Daytona International Speedway in a console NASCAR video game for the first time since 1991 after SEGA's exclusive license with the track expired the same year.
