Backyard Makeover-Everything Must Go!

I removed everything from this backyard down to bare dirt: fencing, ivy, flagstone, small trees, and even an old kids' spring toy! Watch the transformation from start to finish.

I am operating my Vermeer 925 mini track loader to remove all of this old landscaping from the property. The customer tried digging up and removing some of the ground ivy but soon realized how difficult it is to pull up this ivy! With the root grapple, it disappears quickly and efficiently. Thankfully, the customer wanted to save the large flagstones, as these can be very expensive! Also, the customer kept the duck!

I enjoy this type of job where everything needs to be removed. It's actually easier this way because I can just start at one end and work my way across, clearing the debris. The mini skid attachments make this job so much easier. The land plane is the secret sauce at the end, giving the customer a nice, smooth surface to plant grass. Ultimately, my goal for the customer is to give them a clean slate. Many of my customers are new homeowners of houses that have had one family living there for a long time, so the landscape hadn't changed for many years. Or, the new homeowner doesn't have a green thumb and doesn't want to deal with maintaining the landscape.
