Melodic dance music took over Tallinn Town Hall Square – the crowd danced to the sounds of Estonia’s and the world’s top artists

On August 19 in 2025, a unique event took place for the first time at Tallinn Town Hall Square, where the historic city square was transformed for one evening into an open-air club driven by the rhythms of melodic house and techno.

The free event, “Melodic Dance Music Showcase,” presented Estonian dance music producers and DJs, who performed both previously released tracks and unreleased material.

Throughout the evening, hundreds of people enjoyed high-quality electronic music in the heart of the city. Many stayed longer, listened with interest, and moved along with the rhythms—several even danced throughout entire sets.

The goal of the event was to introduce one of the world’s fastest-growing music genres to a wider audience and to give local artists the opportunity to bring their creations from the drawer to the stage.

The lineup featured local artists Milpak & Jojo, Another Bald One, and Unknown Horizon. The highlight of the day was the world-famous duo Township Rebellion from Germany. Their performance got the entire crowd moving and turned the square into a dance floor filled with true international energy. The artists’ live sets were also visually recorded on video, with the aim of promoting Estonia as a music and cultural destination to a broader international audience.
