Welcome to my reaction video where I watch Stanley Kubrick’s Vietnam war masterpiece Full Metal Jacket for the first time! This hard-hitting movie is full of dark humour and packed with harsh moments making it a meditation on the violence war evokes in young men.

Join me as I share my reactions, commentary, and review of this riveting and, at times, uncomfortably challenging movie. The first half shows the indoctrination of young Marines and is jaw-droppingly good. Whereas the second half shows the brutal burden of war with Kubrick using contrasting music to masterfully add to the social commentary surrounding the controversial Vietnam war.
