Sometimes, the most brilliant ideas are the simplest ones. In this episode, Bri takes you back to the basics with the only brownie recipe you’ll ever need—rich, fudgy, and dangerously easy to make. She shares how this humble pan of chocolate goodness helped launch her all the way to international television, and how she’s learned that less really can be more.

Brownie Recipe (8x8 pan, bakes at 350°F for about 30 minutes):
• 1 cup unsalted butter, melted & cooled
• 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
• 1 ¼ cups white sugar
• 1 cup packed light brown sugar
• 4 large eggs, room temperature
• 1 Tbsp pure vanilla extract
• ¾ tsp salt
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 cup unsweetened Dutch process cocoa powder (good quality)
• 4 oz (½ cup) semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips (or roughly chopped chocolate)
• 1 ½ tsp instant espresso powder
