Celebration of the 100th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika

Guwahati, 8th September:- Our school celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of Sudhakantha Dr. Bhupen Hazarika on 8th September with great respect and enthusiasm on the school campus. The programme began with a floral tribute to his portrait, followed by a brief introduction highlighting his contribution to Assamese culture, music, and literature. Students presented patriotic songs composed by Dr. Hazarika, which filled the atmosphere with pride and emotion.
A speech competition was organised where students spoke about his life, ideals, and message of unity and humanity. A short documentary on his life was also screened to help students understand his global influence. Teachers addressed the gathering and inspired students to follow his values of harmony, equality, and love for mankind.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks. The celebration helped students appreciate the rich cultural heritage of Assam and remember the legacy of Bhupen Hazarika.
