At this point, the screener has been in use for 17 months, and it gets used 4-5 hours two times a month. It's seen a lot of frass fall through the screen and a lot of debris sorted off and out the door so it's broken down a few times.
This video shows some of the improvements to prevent further breakage. The saw blade is a heavier blade now and it's a T shape rather than an L, to better distribute the stress of the screener sled. And no more zip ties. We've upgraded to heavy-duty nylon straps that can be tightened down or removed with bolts.
