SURFING BYRON BAY area || ft. Mick Fanning & Owen Wright - raw footage

I haven't had many shoots on lately so figured I'd go film a bit of surfing to keep my camera skills sharp. This is not a proper edit, I just threw the clips on a timeline in chronological order.

The waves have been really good around the Byron Bay area for the past few weeks and there's been plenty of professional surfers getting amongst it. This clip features 3x World Champion Mick Fanning, WCT surfers Owen Wright and Morgan Cibilic, plus Rip Curl team-mate Mikey McDonagh, as well as a few locals. This was all filmed in one session in the morning.

Keep an eye out for the whale breach on the horizon at the 0:30 mark.

This was filmed on the Sony a6400 with a Sigma 150-500mm telephoto lens. I mostly shot in 1080p rather than 4K.
