Hyderabadi Besan Jowar Roti is a traditional and nutritious flatbread. Here's a simple recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups jowar (sorghum) flour
1/2 cup besan (gram flour)
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (optional)
1/4 tsp red chili powder (optional)
1 tbsp ghee or oil
Water, as needed
Instructions:
1. Mix jowar flour, besan, salt, turmeric, and red chili powder (if using).
2. Add ghee or oil and mix well.
3. Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough.
4. Divide into small balls and roll out into rotis.
5. Cook on a hot skillet or tava with a little oil until golden brown.
6. Serve hot with your favorite curry or chutney.
Tips:
Adjust spice levels to your taste.
Use jowar flour freshly ground for better texture.
Serve with ghee or butter for added flavor.
