You’ll learn how fog forms, what “burning off” means, and how to recognize the most common types of fog: radiation fog, advection fog, upslope fog, and steam fog (sea smoke). Mike also discusses the different forms of precipitation, including rain, drizzle, virga, hail, ice pellets, and snow, and how each impacts flight visibility and performance.
