Director Robert (Bob) Butler's eulogy for frat brother, long-time family friend, UCLA football captain/all PAC 8, tean VIP, Marine Corps Bronze Star recipient, USC law trial attorney, Fox attorney, and my father, Bruce Duncan (Black Mac) MacLachlan.
Following their frat days, with frat brothers which included Watergate's H.R (Bob) Haldeman at UCLA, the "Brain Trust (which they called themselves), would meet nearly every year with other frat brothers Roland Bain, Paul Esnard, and Rim Anderson (within very busy schedules), to catch up with one another, and resolve the world's problems.
As I began my life in media at age 19 in '75, Bob allowed me to observe days & days of his pilot shootings, where I'd learned skills I'd have never learned without him. Dad was my hero, but Bob, an absolute gem!
