In this interview, John speaks about Australia being on the forefront of 'conversion therapy' ban laws, and on how laws can spread from a state in Australia and through the federal government in a period of 5-10 years of their inception.
He mentions how these laws prevent therapeutic choice and heavily restrict pastoral care in the area of sexuality and gender. He has tried to get the attention of the media and politicians with the stories of those who have experienced change in their sexual orientation, or who have detransitioned. Unfortunately, it seems as though almost none of them are interested, listening to only one viewpoint - the one of the LGBT lobby.
