Goodbye Truck, Hello LA | Diego Hip Dysplasia | Vlog 21

Hey Dogo Gang!

We made it safely to Los Angeles, California. Unfortunately, the camper did not make it with us. So, while I consider options and look for our new home, we are staying with a friend.

Since the accident, I have had so much to think about. Whether I should get another camper, or not. I decided, it would be safest to have a home base before venturing out again via #vanlife or #camperlife.

So, I came back to La because this is where I feel most familiar and where my support system is. Also, I'm looking at it as an opportunity to collaborate and connect with other creators and influencers.

Being that I'm planning to stay here for awhile, there's no need for me to have a big gas-consuming truck. So, I decided it was time to sell my F250 back to Carmax. I definitely took a loss with that, but I think saved myself in the long run. Luckily, my Kia was being rented by a friend, so I was able to have a more efficient car living in the city.

After returning the truck, I pick up the Kia and took Diego to the vet because he was consistently showing signs of discomfort by limping or walking very stiffly.

At the vet, they took x-rays and discovered that he has hip dysplasia in both hips. They were able to send me home with a bottle of Adoquin. The vet instructed me that the Adoquin was to be administered by a vet intramuscularly 2x a week for 4 weeks, once a week for 4 weeks, then every other week for 4 weeks, then once a month indefinitely.

It's going to be quite the process, but whatever needs to be done to make sure Diego and Dahja are happy, comfortable and healthy.
