Join us for an epic unplanned off-road adventure as we take the KLR 650 deep into the Idaho mountains, navigating everything from steep elevation climbs to rock scrambles, missed turns, and fire-affected trails.
Our goal with every ride? Explore what we haven’t explored before. This time, we head toward Idaho City via Wildcat Gulch and Elk Creek Road, pushing the KLR through rugged, 4x4-friendly terrain with no real plan.
🌲 Along the way, we:
• Ride from 5,000 to nearly 9,000 feet in elevation
• Discover fresh trail markings and explore fire-scorched forest
• Startle coyotes sleeping in the trail
• Conquer sketchy climbs and rocky descents
• Finally make it to Idaho City for a hard-earned meal
If you're into dual sport adventures, off-road trail riding, or just seeing what the KLR 650 can handle in the backcountry—this ride is for you.
