This is a short painting demo of
POLPERRO, a very quaint fishing village in Cornwall UK. I took a more tame and quiet approach for this piece. Watercolour washes were applied after a complete drawing with graphite pencil. I do like to switch things up every so often to stay focused and engaged with my process. You can certainly paint the sky last.
Only regret is making this scene too colourful. I must thrive to show the grey dreary coastal mood the next time I paint this.
Even though this is just virtual visit, I hope to see and paint Cornwall one day in person. May this painting bring you lots of sunshine and positive vibes too!
