Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated by every Indian on 26th July every year. The day is dedicated to the martyrs of the Kargil War 1999. Kargil Vijay Diwas marks the victory of the Indian army in the Kargil War. The Kargil war was initiated by the Pakistani troops who infiltrated into the Kargil district in 1999. Kargil Vijay Diwas is considered the day to remembering the martyrdom of the hundreds of brave Indian soldiers.
